SAINT-REMY-DE-PROVENCE, 26 September – Italy captain Marco Bortolami is under an injury cloud ahead of the team's final Pool C match against Scotland on Saturday.
The Gloucester lock will be re-evaluated on Wednesday and head coach Pierre Berbizier is hopeful he can include Bortolami in the starting XV he will announce on Thursday before the team's departure to Saint-Etienne for the match.
Bortolami has soreness in his left hamstring and neck. Both injuries have kept him off the training track this week.
Lock Santiago Dellape, flanker Josh Sole and wing Marko Stanojevic are back in training after sustaining injuries earlier in the tournament and available for selection.
Number 8 Manoa Vosawai, who suffered a knock against Portugal, left Tuesday's training session 10 minutes early as a precaution.
