Romania maintained their push for Rugby World Cup 2011
qualification by completing a two-leg success over Ukraine with a
61-7 victory in Botosani, Romania.
The Romanians already held a 33-3 advantage after the first
leg in Ukraine and never looked like relinquishing this as they
secured a play-off match against Tunisia in July.
The winner of that match will meet either Uruguay or Asian 5
Nations runners up Kazakhstan in the final play-off for the last
remaining place, in Pool B, at RWC 2011.
Stefan Ciuntu and captain Sorin Socol both scored two tries
for Romania, who had established a 35-0 lead by half time.
Ukraine's only try was scored late on by lock Viacheslav
Krasylnyk.
