Ticket rush for Glasgow Sevens
Scottish Rugby organisers have announced that fewer than 5,000 tickets remain for each day of the Emirates Airline Glasgow Sevens, at Scotstoun Stadium on 5-6 May.
The event is the penultimate round of the HSBC Sevens World Series, which is on course to smash the attendance record of just over 500,000 set last season.
Over the last few days there has been a significant acceleration in ticket sales for the Glasgow event and, with well over 2,000 more tickets sold than at the same time last season for Murrayfield, the anticipated sell-out looks ever more likely.
In previous years Murrayfield was able to handle any number of walk-up support, but owing to the more compact Scotstoun ground, organisers are urging fans to snap up the remaining tickets to ensure they have one of the 15,000 seats and avoid disappointment.
Supporters who purchase a ticket before 17:00 on Thursday 3 May are able to take advantage of the advance ticket prices, with adult tickets priced from only £15, and from £20 thereafter.
In addition, Scottish Rugby and its partners at Glasgow City Council have come up with some fantastic offers for anyone who has a Emirates Airline Glasgow 7s ticket, including on food and drink, travel and Glasgow Warriors.
