Tickets for all 48 Rugby World Cup 2015 (RWC 2015) matches will go on general sale next month to fans across the globe. An application window will open from September 12 - 29, 2014 giving fans access to up to one million tickets - so start planning your tournament now!

To apply for tickets from September 12, fans will need to create an account on the official RWC 2015 ticketing website tickets.rugbyworldcup.comOnce applications open fans can apply for up to four tickets per match for as many matches as they wish. For 15 matches, you can apply for up to 15 tickets and get the old rugby team back together. These include: Tonga v Georgia, Ireland v Canada, Samoa v USA, Australia v Fiji, France v Romania, New Zealand v Namibia, Italy v Canada, Australia v Play-Off winner, Ireland v Romania, New Zealand v Georgia, Romania v Canada, Fiji v Play-Off winner, Georgia v Namibia, Argentina v Namibia and Japan v USA.

Tickets will be available in all four price categories at all of the 48 matches. Prices start as low as £15 for adults and £7 for children at some matches. Child prices will be available for 41 matches including every pool stage match.

Tickets will not be sold on a first come, first served basis, oversubscribed matches will go to ballot to ensure that tickets are fairly allocated. It is a priority of England Rugby 2015, Organising Committee for RWC 2015, that as many people as possible are able to go to the Tournament, and the matches in the highest demand will be balloted first to ensure that all applicants have an equal chance of successfully securing tickets.

A number of tools have been introduced to help fans increase their chances and plan their Tournament. The ‘Match Manager’ allows you to apply for as many matches as you like and then cap the number of matches you can be successful for in the ballot, helping fans limit their spend.

Fans will also be able to use the ‘Increase Your Chances’ tool, opting to be allocated tickets from a higher price category in the event that tickets at your preferred price category are oversubscribed or unavailable. Use of both these tools is optional, and a step-by-step ‘how to apply’ guide is available to help you on the ticketing website.

Debbie Jevans, CEO of England Rugby 2015, said: “We are about to embark on an exciting period in the build up to Rugby World Cup 2015, as tickets go on general sale next month. The Tournament is now just over one year away and the rugby world is counting down to Rugby World Cup 2015.

“The application window will be open from September 12 – 29, 2014 and fans can create a ticketing account and start planning their Tournament. We have worked hard to develop a ticketing system which makes the application process easy and efficient, and offers flexibility to fans.

“Prices start at £15 for adults and £7 for children. With 13 Match Venues situated in Host Cities all over England and in Cardiff, it’s a great opportunity for the whole nation to watch the best teams in the world compete for rugby’s most prestigious prize.”

IRB Chairman Bernard Lapasset added: “September is a very special date for Rugby and major event fans as it represents the opportunity to be a part of what will be a very special celebration of Rugby and the host nation and experience one of the world’s popular major events.”

Applications can be edited or withdrawn at any time during the general sale window, which closes at 18.00 on September 29, and fans will find out which tickets they’ve been successful in purchasing in October.

Fans must only buy from official sources to avoid ticket fraud. Only tickets purchased at tickets.rugbyworldcup.com or through official travel and hospitality providers will guarantee entry to RWC 2015 matches, and England Rugby 2015 will launch an official RWC 2015 resale platform in 2015 to enable customers to sell any unwanted tickets at face value.
