World Rugby has announced the appointment of Taisho Pharmaceutical as an Official Sponsor of Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan.
Taisho Pharmaceutical will showcase its market-leading energy drink Lipovitan D during the tournament, which will be played across 12 venues the length and breadth of the host nation between 20 September and 2 November.
Lipovitan D has a long-standing association with rugby in the host nation as Japan men's national team jersey sponsor and the Rugby World Cup deal will further the promotion and profile of the brand in the domestic and international marketplace.
World Rugby Chairman Bill Beaumont said: “World Rugby is delighted to be welcoming Lipovitan D to the Rugby World Cup commercial programme family for the first time as an official sponsor.
