Morioka City

Historically, Morioka City prospered as a castle town and remnants from these times can still be seen around the city, with historical buildings and streets found around what remains of the castle walls. Morioka also has a very unique noodle culture – is home to three noodle based dishes – and with a river running through the city centre, is a city that combines the best of both the natural surroundings and city life.
