Fukushima Prefecture

Fukushima Prefecture is divided into three main regions, and each region has its own unique climate and culture. The prefecture is steeped in rich history and culture and is made up of many castle towns with the breath-taking natural surroundings serving as a backdrop. During the summer, a festival takes place where armoured samurai warriors ride through the streets on horses in a procession. Fukushima is also home to many delicious, mouth-watering foods and the locally produced peaches and sake are highly acclaimed both in Japan and internationally.
