Rugby World Cup 2019™ Fanzone in Osaka/Higashiosaka (Tennoji)

 

Key Features

  • The fanzone will be held in Tenshiba (located at the entrance of Tennoji Park), which receives 4.25 million visitors annually.
  • The closest station to the fanzone, Tennoji Station, is the terminus station in Osaka for many lines.  *Great location as the JR Line, Osaka Metro (Midosuji Line and Tanimachi Line) and the Kintetsu Railway feed into this station.
  • Japan’s tallest tower, Abeno Harukas and the third oldest zoo in Japan, Tennoji Zoo, are located right by the fanzone.

Rugby World Cup 2019TM Fanzone in Osaka/Higashiosaka (Hanazono)

 

Key Features

  • The fanzone is located right by Hanazono Rugby Stadium, a sacred ground for Japanese rugby, as it is where the national high school rugby tournament takes place every year and is the oldest dedicated rugby stadium in Japan (built in 1929).
  • The road leading up to the stadium from Higashi Hanazono Station, ‘Scrum Road’, is decorated with flags introducing the teams participating in Rugby World Cup 2019.
  • With the bright green natural turf as a backdrop, enjoy taking part in rugby activities in the baseball field where the fanzone will be held!  *Fanzone will be limited to ticketholders for the Italy v Namibia match on 22 September.

  • 16 minutes by train from JR Osaka Station to Tsuruhashi Station (Kintetsu Nara Line) then 15 minutes from Tsuruhashi Station (Kintetsu Nara Line) to Higashi Hanazono Station. 12 minutes on foot from Higashi Hanazono Station.
  • 20 minutes by train from JR Osaka Station to Hommachi Station (Osaka Metro Chuo Line) then 20 minutes from Hommachi Station (Osaka Metro Chuo Line) to Yoshita Station (Kintetsu Keihanna Line). 18 minutes on foot from Yoshita Station (Kintetsu Keihanna Line).
