You will soon have another opportunity to secure your place at Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, with the ticket Application Phase opening on Tuesday, 19 May.
Running for two weeks, the Application Phase gives you the chance to apply for tickets to all 52 matches, across all price categories, including the Rugby World Cup Final.
Unlike a live sale, where tickets are bought and secured in real-time, the Application Phase is designed to give you an equal opportunity to be there when rugby’s biggest tournament returns to Australia.
Here is everything you need to know.
When does the Application Phase open?
The Application Phase opens at on Tuesday, 19 May at 15:00 (AEST) and runs until 18:00 (AEST) on Tuesday, 2 June.
You can create your ticketing account and submit your ticket application at any point during this two‑week window. Applying early or late does not affect your chances of success, because this is not a real‑time sale.
How do I apply for tickets?
During the two‑week application window, you can apply for tickets to the matches you want, choosing your preferred price categories.
Where demand exceeds availability for a specific match and price category, applications will be entered into a ballot, with successful applications selected at random. This ensures you have an equal opportunity to secure the tickets you want.
You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email from Tuesday, 23 June 2026.
Is there any advantage to applying early?
No.
There is no advantage to applying on the first day or the last day of the application window. All applications submitted between 19 May and on 2 June will be treated equally.
If demand to access the website is high, a queue may operate on the ticketing website, but you can return at any time during the two weeks without your chances being affected.
Do you need to register in advance?
There is no pre‑registration deadline for this phase. However, you will need to create and activate a ticketing account to submit an application during the window.
To ensure a smoother experience, you are encouraged to set up your ticketing account in advance at tickets.rugbyworldcup.com
Which matches are available?
Tickets will be available for all 52 matches of Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, including:
- All pool matches including the opening match in Perth
- All knock-out matches
- The Rugby World Cup Final
All price categories will be available during the Application Phase.
How many tickets can I apply for?
A match ticket limit applies per ticketing account:
- Up to 10 tickets for most matches
- Up to 6 tickets for selected matches
Any tickets you have already purchased during the Presales will count towards these limits.
Can I apply for multiple price categories?
Yes.
You can apply for more than one price category per match, while still respecting match ticket limits. Tickets applied for in different price categories will not be located in the same area within the stadium.
By submitting an application, you agree to the possible purchase of all tickets included in that application.
What is the ‘All Out Advantage’ option?
The All Out Advantage option helps fans improve their chances of securing tickets where demand is high.
If activated, you may be allocated tickets in the price category directly above or directly below the category you chose. If you are allocated a higher price category, you will be charged more. If you are allocated a lower price category, you will be charged less.
If you use the All Out Advantage option, it will be applied to all matches included in your application.
The final ticket price will be confirmed when applicants are notified of the outcome of their application from Tuesday, 23 June. You are encouraged to review ticket prices and the Ticket Terms and Conditions before selecting this option.
Is it possible to be allocated fewer tickets than applied for?
Yes.
The ballot is run per oversubscribed price category in each match. If you are not successful in being allocated tickets for a particular match, you may still be successful for other matches included in your application.
For a single price category, partial allocations will not occur. If you apply for multiple tickets to a match in one price category, you will be allocated either all of those tickets or none.
Can I change my ticket application?
No.
You cannot update an existing application. However, during the application window (19 May to 2 June 2026), you may withdraw your application and submit a new one.
Once the application window closes at 18:00 (AEST) on 2 June 2026, applications can no longer be withdrawn or resubmitted. By submitting an application, you agree to purchase all match tickets you are allocated, which may be all, some or none of the matches you applied for.
When will I pay for tickets?
As part of the application process, you will be asked to provide payment card details.
If your application is successful, payment will be automatically processed using the card details provided from Thursday, 25 June. It is important to ensure sufficient funds are available for the full value of your potential ticket allocation.
What do tickets cost?
Ticket prices for Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 start from AUD$40 for adults and AUD$20 for children. Prices for the Application Phase are available here.
There are no booking or handling fees. All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD). If you are purchasing from outside Australia, your bank or card provider may apply a foreign transaction fee.
What if my plans change and I no longer need my tickets?
Change of plans happens. An official resale platform will be launched closer to the tournament, allowing you to resell tickets securely if you no longer need them.
