Following the repechage event in Monaco on 21-23 June, 2024, all 12 men’s and 12 women’s teams have qualified for Paris 2024 via the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2022/23, regional qualification competitions and repechage.
In the men’s rugby sevens competition, the following teams qualified:
- France (host nation)
- New Zealand, Argentina, Fiji and Australia (finished top-four in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2023 - not including France)
- Uruguay (South America)
- Ireland (Europe)
- USA (North America)
- Kenya (Africa)
- Samoa (Oceania)
- Japan (Asia)
- South Africa (repechage)
In the women’s rugby sevens competition, the following teams qualified:
- France (host nation)
- New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and USA (finished top-four in the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series 2023 - not including France)
- Brazil (South America)
- Canada (North America)
- Great Britain (Europe)
- South Africa (Africa)
- Fiji (Oceania)
- Japan (Asia)
