- Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will be played over six weeks from 1 October to 13 November, 2027
- The tournament is expanded from 20 to 24 teams, with six pools of 4 - a reduction in the number of pool matches from 40 to 36
- Following the pools, a new round of 16 will be played featuring the top two in each pool, plus the four best third-placed teams
- Twelve teams directly qualified from RWC 2023, with 12 more qualifying in 2025.
- All revenue generated by men’s RWC 2027 will be reinvested in the game. The 2023 edition in France generated a surplus of £475 million for reinvestment with a record £300 million directly invested in unions and regions and the rest in welfare, competitions and education initiatives that boost rugby as a whole.
