Saitama Prefecture

With population of 7.3 million, Saitama Prefecture has both the convenience of a city and the beauty of a nature rich environment. Saitama is also where many popular tourist attractions are located, including Kawagoe – known for the streets lined with traditional storehouses giving visitors a glimpse of what life was like back in the Edo period, Omiya Bonsai Village – an area known as the “sacred land of bonsai”, and the Chichibu Nagatoro area – an area famous for its mountains and rivers.
