Prior to the Six Nations fixture opposing France and Wales, Rugby World Cup France 2023 and French charity Petits Princes have presented at the Stade de France their programme which will allow children and teenagers undergoing medical treatment and suffering from cancers, leucemia or genetic sicknesses to live their passion and see their dreams come true.

From 8 September to 28 October 2023, the eyes of the world will be turned towards France and Rugby World Cup 2023, a unique sporting event awaited by million of fans throughout the world.

Because rugby is a sport that represents togetherness, because it is built on the values of respect, passion and solidarity, France 2023 created a programme with the ambition to distract, comfort, listen and bring joy to the daily life of ill children with moments of happiness.

TOGETHER, LET’S FULFILL THESE CHILDREN'S DREAMS

This programme’s main ambition is to bring to those children a renewed energy and strength to fight against their illness by being a part of the Rugby World Cup 2023 experience.

France 2023 wishes to bring them moments filled with positive emotions and optimism, to create a space of innocence. This programme will benefit 18 children, along with their family (siblings, parents), who will also be spectators of Rugby World Cup 2023 matches (2 per host venue).

France 2023 wants to place its part in this iniative by proposing an unforgettable experience to children whose daily lives oscillate between medical care and medical examinations in order to fight against grave illnesses.

"Our charity Petits Princes is proud to experience next Rugby World Cup as an Official Member of France 2023 and to be able to realise dreams for sick children, passionate about rugby. This will be precious moments for those kids and their family, helping them to recharge their energy to keep on fighting against their illness. Thank you for being at our side." said Dominique BAYLE, co-founder of the charity Petits Princes.

"For the players as well as for the general public, Rugby World Cup is an experience of a lifetime, a dream which we want to make accessible to those who need it. We are incredibly proud of the association with Petits Princes, and of the opportunity to offer children suffering from grave illnesses and their relatives a period of joy through rugby." added Jacques RIVOAL, President of France 2023.
