You're a senior figure in the team. What advice do you have for younger players in the squad?
I think my advice would be, just enjoy every moment. This is my third World Cup and I think every World Cup there's a new surprise. There's something that will test you, and I think that is pretty amazing in some sense because it makes you a stronger person. You know, I still have memories from Ireland and New Zealand, and it's like you just want to make sure you hold on to those memories. Performance is the most important thing at the moment, but it's also, you know, years later on the line, you're going to remember these moments, and it's pretty cool.
Have you seen a change in recent years to the game?
Oh so much you know honestly in America, I think when I first started playing rugby, like, it was starting to, rise a little bit, but not as much as it is nowadays. I think especially in the States, now that , there's a lot more scholarships for girls to go to university or college and many more opportunities, not only for women but also for men as well. I think it's just kind of cool to see.
What would you say is the best advice you've received in your career?
I had a senior player once tell me, 'Make sure you stretch before practice'. Didn't do that when I was younger and now I'm facing the consequences.
If you could speak in movie quotes for the rest of your life which movie would you quote?
I'm a big Hocus Pocus girl. Oh my gosh, what a glorious morning. I actually do think about that every morning. I just watched it again yesterday too.
Does anyone on the team have any weird superstitions?
There is one with Georgie (Perris-Redding - pictured below). I played for Sale for four years and every time she gets her blocker tape on, she'll walk, stand right in front of me and just go check and then she goes 'those are amazing'. She always does the same thing.
When you're decompressing after matches, what will be your guilty pleasure TV show?
So my roommate is Kate Zachary and I try really hard not to go forward in any shows without her. We just got done watching Wednesday. Amazing. Upsetting that it's only four episodes right now. Don't know where Lady Gaga is coming into this. Really can't wait.
What is your most random hobby?
That would be knitting now because I just learned.
If you could live anywhere in the world for a year where would it be?
Spain because one of my very close friends, Alba Capell, who plays for Spain, is from there and I would love to do that because she's just told me of all the cool things about Spain. Spain would be fun.
What is your favourite song to listen to on the coach to get hyped for a game?
Major Lazer, Particula. Don't know why. That has actually been my song before, since the 2017 World Cup.
Do you have any childhood or early career memories that you remember that made you like fall in love with rugby?
I think my first few years when I first started playing, I was playing at Penn State. I think just that first year was just absolutely amazing.
On the topic of music, is there anyone that you would like to sing like a duet with?
