Expressions of Interest will launch in July 2026
The Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 will only be possible thanks to the thousands of volunteers who are ready to Go All Out, bringing energy, passion, and pride to every moment of the tournament.
As a volunteer, you will be integral to the tournament’s success - helping to create unforgettable memories for both fans and players, celebrating Australia’s rich culture and heritage, and contributing to the legacy and growth of rugby not only in Australia, but also on a global scale.
Our Volunteer Program will be assembling Volunteer Teams for each of the seven Host Cities, and we are looking for passionate individuals who are eager to celebrate and showcase their local city on a global stage to be involved.
Volunteers will be recruited across each of the following Host Cities:
- Adelaide | Tarntanya – Adelaide Oval
- Brisbane | Meeanjin – Brisbane Stadium
- Melbourne | Narrm – Docklands Stadium
- Newcastle | Awabakal-Worimi – Newcastle Stadium
- Perth | Boorloo – Perth Stadium
- Sydney | Gadigal - Stadium Australia & Sydney Football Stadium
- Townsville | Gurambilbarra – North Queensland Stadium
There will be a variety of Volunteer Roles available across the tournament, covering customer service, fan experience and tournament operations. More details on each of the roles available will be released ahead of Volunteer Applications opening.

What To Know Before Applying
The Process
We will invite individuals to register their interest from July 2026, with Volunteer Applications opening in September 2026
Age
All volunteers must be aged 18 or over on 1 April 2027 to be eligible. (Please note if you are still aged 17 at the time of application, we will require a consent form to be completed by a parent or guardian)
Visas
All volunteers must have the right to work (and therefore volunteer) in Australia. RWCA 2027 will not be able to provide any assistance with visas.
Already have tickets?
Our volunteers will support the operational delivery of the tournament and will therefore be engaged in duties that run alongside match time. Please consider this when applying, as you will not be able to volunteer for any matches you have tickets for. Please also note that becoming a volunteer does not include a ticket to any RWCA 2027 matches.
Your commitment
We want to ensure all volunteers have a memorable and worthwhile experiences with us, so we ask that all volunteers commit to a minimum of 3-6 shifts (venue dependent) during the tournament. At venues where there are both Pool and Knockout matches played, we will require volunteers to commit to at least 2 shifts during the Pool Phase.
Expenses
Volunteers will be provided with uniform and catering on shift, however, unfortunately we are unable to provide flights, accommodation and parking expenses. Further information will be provided regarding public transport options in your host city during tournament time.
