The Rugby World Cup is coming to Manchester, and there’s no better place to enjoy the action than the Fan Zone at Piccadilly Gardens! Located in the heart of the city, this iconic and bustling public space is the perfect setting to bring fans together and celebrate Manchester’s proud sporting spirit.

🏉 Matchday Activities & Experience
Manchester’s Fan Zone at Piccadilly Gardens will be a vibrant highlight of the wider MCR Live event series, designed to celebrate community spirit, local culture, and active participation.
With a strong focus on inclusivity and engagement, the space will be brought to life through a wide range of family-friendly, sport-themed activations delivered in collaboration with MCRactive, Manchester City Council’s dedicated sport and wellbeing partner.
🍽️ Food & Drink
You’re very welcome to bring along your own picnic and make a day of it at the fan zone! Gather your favourite bites, roll out a blanket, and enjoy the lively atmosphere with friends and family.
If you’re after more food choices, the nearby MCR Live site has plenty on offer — just keep in mind it’s separate from the FanZone.
The event is also expected to link into Manchester Summer Live 25, where further F&B and bar offerings will complement the fan zone experience.
🚻 Facilities
Toilets are available in nearby retail units or at the MCR Live site, including accessible toilets and baby changing places.
There will be on-site drinking water available throughout the day.
