The Rugby World Cup is coming to Northampton, and there’s no better place to enjoy the moment than the Fan Zone at Market Square! Located right in the heart of the town centre, this historic and recently transformed space is the perfect setting to bring the community together in celebration of rugby’s biggest stage.
With a packed line-up of family-friendly activities, rugby-themed entertainment, and an unbeatable community atmosphere, Market Square will be buzzing with energy throughout the tournament. Whether you're cheering for your nation or soaking up the vibe, Northampton can’t wait to welcome you!

🏉 Matchday Activities & Experience
The fan zone will be alive with energy, music, and creativity across all four days. Each date will feature a different themed experience, making every visit unique.
Programming will include live stage performances, screenings of RWC matches (some with sound off during music acts), and appearances by BBC Introducing on 30th August.
The final event on 7th September will coincide with the Northampton Music Festival, bringing a major cultural moment to the square. On every day, the fan zone will also feature a Family Zone, a Sport Zone (run by local sports clubs), and areas dedicated to food, drink and leisure.

Food and beverage plans within the fan zone will host self-sufficient catering units offering a range of refreshments and snacks.
🚻 Facilities
Toilets are available throughout the venue, including accessible toilets and baby changing places.
Drinking water will be freely available throughout the space.
