Venue entry and security
Due to large crowds, spectators may experience delays when entering the stadium. We recommend you arrive 90 minutes ahead of kick-off, allowing at least 60 minutes to clear security and access your seat. There will be plenty of food, drink and entertainment on offer so you can enjoy the unique Japanese Rugby World Cup 2019 atmosphere inside the stadium.
You must be in possession of a valid ticket to enter a match venue and readmission is strictly prohibited. Once you leave a match venue, you will not be permitted to re-enter under any circumstances.
The following items are prohibited from being brought into match venues:
- Weapons of any type, drinks (absolutely no drink will be permitted into match venues. This includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, etc), cans or bottles, metal containers, long umbrellas, any luggage, selfie sticks, drones, flares, radio wave emitting devices (such as walkie-talkies, wireless microphones, Wi-Fi wireless LAN routers etc
Drink are not permitted into stadiums however, medicines and medicinal products will be permitted upon inspection by security at the gate. Refrain from bringing such products in glass containers, use plastic containers instead.
For the safety of spectators, glass bottles and cans are strictly prohibited from being brought into stadiums.
Long umbrellas pose a risk and nuisance to those around you. In the case of rain, please bring a raincoat. Small, foldable umbrellas can be used on your journey to a match venue and can be brought into the stadium. However, to avoid restricting the view of other spectators, they cannot be used once inside the venue.
Please note that there will be no place to leave luggage inside or outside match venues.
It is prohibited by law to fly drones in and around RWC venues and Fanzones.
