At the top of the hill, you can contemplate the spectacular view of "Nice between sea and mountains", and witness a tradition started in 1861 that continues to this day: the cannon shot fired at precisely noon.

Picasso Museum
Antibes

Head for Antibes-Juan les Pins to meet a listed historic monument, the emblematic Château Grimaldi. It stands on the ancient site of the Antipolis acropolis, an ancient Greek city.
In 1966, the Château Grimaldi became the Picasso Museum, giving pride of place to Pablo Picasso. No fewer than 23 paintings and 44 drawings can be found in the museum, as well as ceramics made at the Madoura workshop in Vallauris. Combining history and modernity, the museum is a must-see in the region. The exteriors face the sea, offering a magical view of the Mediterranean. The château's terrace hosts sculptures by Germaine Richier. Often photographed, don't miss the Nomade, which looks out over the horizon as far as the eye can see.

Grasse

Let’s head to Grasse, the perfume capital of the world! Immerse yourself in the floral atmosphere, with fields as far as the eye can see: roses, jasmine, violets, mimosa... Prestigious perfumers such as Fragonard, Galimard and Molinard emerged here. In the heart of the old town, a large, beautiful yellow building catches the eye: the 19th-century Fragonard perfumery. On the program: discover perfume objects, the meticulous work of the "noses" and the processes involved in creating perfume. In this typical Côte d'Azur village, you'll discover the art of perfume, but don't forget to stroll through the narrow streets, walk along the Siagne canal and enjoy a coffee in the Place aux Aires!

Lérins Islands

Facing the Bay of Cannes, the Îles de Lérins are an archipelago of five islands with crystal-clear waters. Here, you'll discover an exceptional natural, historical and cultural heritage that's worth the detour. A perfect blend of wilderness and French Riviera, the islands can be reached in just 15 minutes by boat! On the island of Sainte-Marguerite, you can opt for nature or culture: walk through a forest of Aleppo pines and Eucalyptus, watch birds from the bird sanctuary and visit the royal fort where the Man in the Iron Mask was once imprisoned. Its little sister, Ile Saint Honorat, reveals a bell tower belonging to the Lérins monks' abbey, surrounded by an 8-hectare vineyard. You can swim from the abbey beach or the Saint-Pierre cove and enjoy the wild landscape.
