Wherever possible we ask that travelling fans use the most sustainable travel option available to them including public transport and active travel.

Getting to and from Brighton & Hove Community Stadium

Top Tip

Queuing systems are in operation at Brighton station pre-match and at Falmer station post-match. Please allow plenty of time to complete your journey and consider travelling outside of the busiest periods just before and after the match. If you are going to the match there are plenty of options to enjoy at the stadium’s brand new Fan Plaza which is open before and after the match.

Top Tip

Fans planning to travel on intercity train services should book their travel in advance to ensure that they can book seats on their desired service and to secure advance tickets at the most affordable rate. Tickets can be purchased from 12 weeks prior to the date of travel. To book visit the

🚌 By Bus

Buses to/from Brighton city centre take approximately 20-30 minutes and are a great way to link up the stadium with the city centre and our Fan Zone which can be accessed via the 25 bus.

Bus stop(s): University of Sussex A27 & Falmer station A27

Routes served: 5B, 25 (For the Fan Zone), 23, 28 & 29

Frequency: Approximately every 10 minutes

Price: Single fare £3 or less City Saver £6

🚲 By bicycle

Cycle racks are available at Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium for those fans looking to arrive by bicycle. Make sure to arrive early though as bike racks can fill up fast on match days.

The Beryl cycle hire scheme operates in Brighton and Hove. Time from city centre is approximately 15-25 minutes. Bicycles will need to be docked at designated docking stations with the closest docking stations located at University of Brighton and University of Sussex campuses.

🚗 By Car

Limited parking is available for fans at Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium on a pre-booked basis only. All parking is sold via the official Rugby World Cup 2025 parking website and must be purchased in advance.

Parking is available at Car Park B, just off the A27 and Car Park C at the University of Sussex. Drivers should make sure to closely follow directions shared in their booking confirmation and make sure to display their parking pass in their vehicle windscreen as instructed. Drivers should take note of the 2.1m height restriction to access Car Park B.

Accessible parking is available in Car Park B as well as Car Park A which is located closer to the stadium but has a restriction on movement after the final whistle of a minimum of 30 minutes. Accessible parking must also be pre-booked via the official Rugby World Cup 2025 parking website. All car parks are open 3 hours before kick off until 2 hours after final whistle. 

Brighton has a number of city centre car parks that can be paid for on the day from where fans can take public transport to Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium. Information on city centre parking can be found here.

Resident parking schemes are in place in the area around the stadium. Vehicles parked in surrounding streets without the correct permits are liable to receive a fixed penalty notice.

🚐 By Private Coach or Minibus

Private coach and minibus parking are available at the stadium in Coach Park F.

Coach and minibus parking must be booked in advance. Parking can be pre-booked on the official Rugby World Cup 2025 parking website. Coach and minibus parking will not be available to book on the day so do make sure to book yours in advance.

Drivers should make sure to closely follow directions shared in their booking confirmation and make sure to display their parking pass in their vehicle windscreen as instructed.

🅿️ Park and Ride

In addition to limited stadium parking Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium also offers convenient park and ride services to two locations offering a convenient way to quickly get away from the stadium post-match and back to your vehicle.

Locations: Mill Road (BN1 8ZF)

Journey time: Approximately 20 minutes

Operating hours: 3 hours before kick-off until 2 hours after final whistle.

Frequency of service: Every 10mins approximately

Price: £8.00

Locations: Brighton Racecourse (BN2 9XZ)

Journey time: Approximately 20-25 minutes

Operating hours: 3 hours before kick-off until 2 hours after final whistle.

Frequency of service: Every 10-15 mins approximately

For your return journey, please make your way back to your initial drop-off point situated by the south-east corner of the stadium, opposite gate 6. Make sure you are joining the correct Park + Ride queue. There will be directional signage, but the stewards onsite will also be happy to assist with directions.

All Park and Ride buses are wheelchair accessible.

🚕 By Taxi

Fans looking to travel to Brighton and Hove Albion Stadium by taxi or rideshare should instruct drivers to drop off/pick up at the University of Sussex, car park 5. From here it is a short walk to the stadium following Rugby World Cup 2025 directional signage.

There are taxi ranks located across the city and popular rideshare apps operate in Brighton and Hove.

Geo-fencing is in place around Brighton and Hove Albion stadium on match days which limits the locations that rideshare apps can drop off and pick up passengers.

Travelling to Brighton & Hove

🚆 By train

Direct trains to Brighton run from various stations in London including Victoria, London Bridge and St Pancras, which provide convenient connections in about 50 to 60 minutes. Other cities with direct train services include Portsmouth, Southampton, and Cambridge as well as London Gatwick Airport, where the journey takes around 30 minutes.

If you are travelling from Europe, Eurostar train services operate to/from London St Pancras Station, from where there are direct trains to Brighton.

🚐 By coach

National Express coaches serve Brighton from London Victoria coach station and the main London airports of Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted regularly, as well as cities such as Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester. Coaches arrive at Pool Valley coach station, which is very central and just moments from the beach and Brighton Palace Pier.

⛴️ By ferry

Brighton is within easy access of northern France from the nearby port of Newhaven. It is also only 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours by motorway from the major ports of Dover and Portsmouth.

The nearest port to Brighton is Newhaven which is around 30 minutes in the car. Ferries travel from Dieppe to Newhaven and take around 4 hours.

The quickest way to travel by ferry from Europe is from Calais to Dover. Crossings take between 1 hour 15 and 1 hour 45 minutes with ferries running regularly throughout the day.

🚗 By car

If you're coming from London, the A23 is the most common route; follow signs for the M23 from Central London, merge onto the A23, and head towards Brighton, which typically takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on traffic. If you’re traveling from the north, take the M1 south to the M25 and exit at the M23, while those coming from the west can enjoy the scenic A27 along the southern coast, which might take a bit longer.

✈️ From the airport

Brighton is located close to London airports – all within two hours of the City.

  • London Gatwick Airport: The fastest option is a direct train to Brighton, taking around 30-35 minutes. Trains depart frequently (up to every 10 minutes during peak times) from Gatwick’s South Terminal. Tickets can be purchased online or at the station.
  • London Heathrow Airport: The most efficient route is to take the Heathrow Express to London Paddington Station in London (15 minutes), then transfer to the London Underground and head to London Victoria. From there, take a direct train to Brighton, with a total travel time of approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • London City Airport: Take the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) to Bank Station, then the Underground to London Bridge, and a train to Brighton. This trip can take about 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Luton and Stansted Airports: These are farther away, so the journey involves multiple transfers. Take a train from either airport to central London (St Pancras for Luton or Liverpool Street for Stansted), then connect to a Brighton-bound train, with travel times averaging 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes.

🚌 By bus

Brighton & Hove buses are very frequent, with many day, week, or monthly saver tickets available making them an easy and cost-effective way to explore the city and beyond. A Saver ticket gives you unlimited bus travel for the whole day of your visit.

🚆 By train

Travelling around Brighton and Hove by train is easy with regular train services connecting key stations such as Brighton, Hove, Preston Park, and London Road. Falmer station, which is near the Stadium and the University of Sussex, is also conveniently linked. For local journeys within the city, these stations provide quick access across neighbourhoods, often in conjunction with walking, cycling, or local bus services.

🚶🏿‍♂️ By foot

Brighton & Hove is a compact city, and most places are within walking distance, making it a great place to explore on foot. The railway station is only ten-minutes’ walk from the city centre which includes many of Brighton’s main attractions, shops, restaurants, hotels and nightlife. Most of Brighton & Hove's key central areas are accessible on foot within just 15 minutes.

The seafront can be reached from the railway station on foot in about 20 minutes.

🚲 By bike

Cycling in Brighton & Hove is quick, easy and enjoyable. You can hire a bicycle from one of the city's cycle hire shops or use the local bikeshare scheme, Beryl.

🚕 By taxi and rideshare

There are plenty of taxis in Brighton city centre including Hackney Carriages and private hire vehicles. Check out the map to see all taxi ranks in the city. Rideshare apps like Uber also operate in the area.

🚗 By car

Brighton is generally accessible by car, but the city centre can be congested, especially during peak times and events. It's advisable to plan your route in advance. There are several public car parks available in and around the city centre. If you are travelling for the day then please note that in common with many historic cities, parking in the city centre is limited. However, the Withdean Sports Complex offers a Park and Ride service, where buses depart into the City around 4 times an hour, 7 days a week.

There are EV charging points throughout Brighton and Hove, with real-time availability information available on apps like Zap-Map.
